Mission:
The Mission of StimulatedYet.com is to effect our own private sector stimulus package -- a social experiment where small businesses help small businesses directly. Our "Stimulus Fund" will be used to build websites for "Stimulus Recipients": start-up businesses, long-standing businesses that could use a helping hand and non-profit organizations. The "Stimulus Fund" will be amassed through sales to businesses and organizations that would like to contribute to the cause ("Stimulus Providers"):
- Website Design & Development Sales
(20% of your fee is applied to the fund)
- Search Engine Optimization Sales
(20% of your fee is applied to the fund)
- StimulatedYet.com Banner Ad Sales
(100% of your fee is applied to the fund)
- StimulatedYet.com Site Sponsorships
(100% of your fee is applied to the fund)
Wait! Wait! Here's the good part: Accountability. Along the way, we will be posting quarterly reports that, among other things, will include:
- Businesses and organizations that have participated and how their business has improved as a result of their website design & development projects.
- "Stimulus" Recipient websites built for businesses and non-profit organizations as a result of sales to Website Purchasers, Advertisers and Site Sponsors.
- Website performance measurement for Stimulatedyet.com and client sites: Banner Ad and Sponsor clickthrough rates, Traffic and sales improvements over time, etc.
In January, 2014, when the $18M Recovery.gov contract expires, we will provide a Final Report illustrating the positive way that we, as a group, have affected the economy, and our member businesses and organizations.

- Government spending is out of control. An $18M contract for the redesign of the Recovery.gov website was the poke in the eye that spurred us into action. (To put this in perspective, this website, including site design & development, integration of the message boards, shopping cart, participant database, events calendar and banner ad rotator would have cost one of our customers about $18,000 to build. A typical small business website runs about $4,000).
- The StimulatedYet.com project is a social experiment. Outraged about $18M in taxpayer dollars being frittered away on the redesign, hosting and maintenance of the Recovery.gov website, we put some thought into how we would use that kind of money if it landed at the door of our website design company. Our solution is a combination of capitalism, activism and hard work.
- Capitalism: We won't pretend that we don't recognize this as the good marketing strategy that it is. Hire our company for your website design project and 20% of your fee will be applied to companies and organizations in need. It also adds a tremendous level of excitement to what we bring to the table; allowing our clients to be part of a demonstration that illustrates the power of small business in America.
- Activism: StimulatedYet.com will serve as a constant reminder of the power of small business and American ingenuity. While the government is squeezing us harder and harder for programs of questionable value, StimulatedYet.com will illustrate a simple concept: Provide top-notch services to those who need them and want to pay for them; which in turn will allow us to provide relief to those who want it and will report how they benefit from it. Finally, we will report the results of our efforts from a site that cost far less to produce and maintain than $18M. Additionally, StimulatedYet.com will function as a repository for related RSS feeds from news sources, activist organizations, and a calendar for related events.
- Raising awareness: Our Resource Center provides a gateway to news, raw data and opinion from a number of sources.
Objectives:
Create a community of concerned business people who will invest to improve their own online presence while uniting to help create websites for small businesses and non-profit organizations in the community; uniting to show solidarity against out-of-control spending; and uniting to illustrate that the private sector is better suited to effect economic stimulus.
Provide philanthropic services by applying 20% of sales dollars towards funding start-up business, financially stressed businesses and non-profit organization website development projects. These funds will be termed "Stimulus Dollars". Businesses and organizations receiving websites created with "Stimulus Dollars" must become paying participants in the SEO program, thereby recycling funds back into the program and creating "Stimulus Dollars" to pay forward to others.
As our pool of participating businesses and potential "Stimulus" recipients increases, allow participating businesses to specify the organization that they will be contributing donated funds towards.
Design & Develop StimulatedYet.com. This website will not only provide information on the StimulatedYet program, but will provide news, information and forums to:
Increase awareness of wasteful government spending. This will be accomplished through the collection of links to news stories by channeling RSS Feeds into Message Forums and commentary.
Increase awareness of like-minded groups and events.
Create a StimulatedYet.com business community that provides discounts and incentives to do business with each other.
Based on the shocking $18M awarded for the Recovery.gov website redesign, we've made it an objective of StimulatedYet.com to earn $18M by January 2014 (which is when that contract expires). We will illustrate a more creative expenditure of 18 million dollars with a website design company -- and prove, on a relatively small scale, that the private sector can better stimulate the economy than the federal government. This $18M money will be raised through:
Website Design & Search Engine Optimization Sales
Website Application, Web Video Development and Other Services
Banner Ad Sales
Site Sponsorships
Our $18M will:
Probably be taxed quite heavily
Increase Participant Business sales by improving web presence, increasing online sales, improving site performance through search engine optimization, improve online branding through enhancement of social media marketing.
Stimulate Participant Business through the StimulatedYet.com Network; businesses will provide incentives to do business together.
Generate approximately $3.6M in "Stimulus Dollars" which will in turn be spent on website design projects for Stimulus Recipient organizations.
